Add AI where it helps people, and keep ordinary code everywhere else.
AI software development builds AI features into your own product or internal tool the way any feature should be built: designed, tested, costed and watched. You get a working piece, a record of how it was checked and a plain explanation of how it behaves.

PROBLEMS WE SOLVE OFTEN
Doubts owners have before putting AI software into a product
Adding a model to a product raises practical worries long before anyone talks about code. Here is each one in an owner's words, then what we do and what changes.
01
“We added an AI feature and nobody can say if it is any good.”
WHAT WE DOWe collect real examples from your business with the answer a careful person would give, and score every change to a prompt or model against them before release. The scores and sample outputs stay in the project for you to read.WHAT CHANGESYou can tell whether a change made the feature better or worse before customers find out.
02
“I'm afraid it will say something wrong to a customer.”
WHAT WE DOThe model answers only from sources you approve, and the answer is checked for format and forbidden topics before anyone sees it. When it fails or is unsure, the product shows a plain message or passes the case to staff.WHAT CHANGESA poor answer has a safe place to land instead of reaching the customer.
03
“The monthly bill for this could quietly get out of hand.”
WHAT WE DOWe record the usage of every feature, give simple steps to cheaper models, reuse answers that repeat and set spending caps with alerts. You see the cost of one use, not only a total on an invoice.WHAT CHANGESCost per use becomes a figure you can read, and a limit you set.
04
“I don't want to be tied to one AI vendor, or unsure where data goes.”
WHAT WE DOThe model sits behind a single connection in the code, so swapping providers means changing a setting and re-running the tests. We also write down what data is sent where, and review the provider's terms with you.WHAT CHANGESYou can change providers when prices or terms change, and you know exactly what leaves your system.
WHY IT MATTERS
An AI feature still needs ordinary engineering.
Calling a language model takes an afternoon. Making that call a dependable part of a product takes the rest of the work: deciding what the model may see, what happens when it answers badly, how a change to its instructions is tested before release, and what each use costs. Say a parts dealer in Chilliwack wants customers to describe a fault and be pointed to the right part. The model is one piece among several.
AI software development treats the model like any other component that can fail, cost money and change without warning. Prompts live in version control beside the code. A set of real examples is run before every change. Simple steps go to cheaper models, and a plain rule or a person catches what the model gets wrong. The rest of your product stays ordinary software.
SIGNS IT'S TIME FOR HELP
Customers keep asking your software questions in plain words
A prototype impressed everyone but nobody trusts it live
Your tool stores text nobody has time to read
BENEFITS
What AI software adds to a product you already run
How things look once the marketing is done right.
✓01
Features customers notice
Plain-language search, summaries, drafting and sorting appear inside screens people already use, instead of a separate chat window that nobody remembers to open.
✓02
Changes you can test
Prompts and settings are reviewed like any other code change and run against saved examples, so an edit that makes things worse is caught before release.
✓03
Ordinary code where it counts
Totals, permissions, records and payments stay in dependable rules that behave the same way every time. The model is used only for the language and judgment parts.
✓04
Limits stated up front
We tell you where the feature is likely to be weak, such as unusual wording or missing data, so staff and customers are not surprised by it.

Traditional software follows rules a person wrote, so the same input gives the same result every time, while AI software contains a model whose answers can vary. That is useful for language, images and messy requests, and a poor fit for totals, permissions and records. We keep those in ordinary code and place the model only where a rule cannot cope.
Add a feature when you want help inside a screen people already use, and build an agent when you want a task completed across systems. In AI software your own code decides what happens next, with the model as one part. An agent is given a goal and picks its own steps. A search box, summary or drafting button is AI software; work done end to end is AI agent development.
There are two costs: building the feature and paying for each use of the model. Projects start from $1,000 and hourly work runs $50 to $99, with the quote shaped by how many features, data sources and checks are involved. Model providers charge by the amount of text processed, so we estimate your volume, track cost per use and set a spending cap before launch.
It can be, but only when the setup is chosen with care. We send the model only the fields a task needs, keep personal details out where we can, and read the provider's terms on storage and training with you. Canada's PIPEDA and British Columbia's PIPA still apply, so we work alongside your lawyer on anything sensitive. This is not legal advice.
