PROBLEMS WE SOLVE OFTEN
Questions an AI readiness assessment answers before you spend
Owners rarely lack AI ideas; they lack a fair way to sort them. Four worries follow, each with what we do about it and what changes.
01
“Everyone has an AI idea, and I cannot tell which ones matter.”
WHAT WE DOWe list every idea, then score each on how often the job happens, what a mistake would cost, how ready the data is and who would own it. You receive a ranked list with the reasoning beside every item.WHAT CHANGESYou choose from a short, ranked list instead of reacting to whoever pitched last.
02
“Our information is scattered across email, spreadsheets and one person's memory.”
WHAT WE DOWe follow each piece of information a job needs back to where it actually lives, try reading a small sample, and note the gaps, duplicates and who maintains each source. Where tidy records are the real blocker, the report says to fix that first.WHAT CHANGESYou learn whether the obstacle is the AI or the records before paying for either.
03
“Half my team is curious about AI and the other half is nervous.”
WHAT WE DOWe interview the staff whose days would change, ask which parts they would hand over and which they would keep, and note skills, workload and who would look after each idea once it runs.WHAT CHANGESThe people affected help shape the plan, so a change feels like help and not a threat.
04
“I worry we would automate something that should stay with a person.”
WHAT WE DOFor each candidate job we ask what a wrong answer would cost, who would catch it and whether fixed rules alone would do. Jobs are then sorted into ordinary software, an AI feature, an agent with limits, or left alone.WHAT CHANGESRisky and records-heavy work stays predictable, and AI goes only where judgement or language is the real need.
WHY IT MATTERS
Decide what AI is for before you pay for it.
Before anyone builds with AI, a few plainer questions need answers. Which jobs repeat often enough to matter? Is the information those jobs need written down somewhere a program can reach? Who would check the output? Imagine a berry packer whose orders arrive by email: the useful first question is how many arrive in a form nobody has to retype, not which model is the cleverest.
An assessment is short and paid, so you can weigh it against the cost of guessing. We look at how work flows, where the records sit, which tools you pay for, who would use the result and what could go wrong. Then we rank the ideas. Some turn out to be ordinary rule-based software, some an AI feature, a few an agent that acts within limits. The rest go on a not-yet list, with the reason beside each.
SIGNS IT'S TIME FOR HELP
Too many AI ideas and no way to rank them
You doubt your records are tidy enough to use
A vendor wants a deposit before there is a plan
BENEFITS
What an AI readiness assessment leaves you holding
How things look once the marketing is done right.
✓01
A ranked list
Every idea is placed in order with its reason written beside it, so the next conversation about AI starts from your own priorities, not a vendor's.
✓02
Ideas to wait on
Some ideas fail today on data, risk or cost. Naming them, with what would change the answer, saves you paying for work that cannot succeed yet.
✓03
The right kind of software
Each job is matched to rule-based software, an AI feature or an agent, so you do not buy judgement where fixed rules would be cheaper and steadier.
✓04
One plain first step
The report ends with a small, costed starting point and a named owner, plus what to watch so you can stop if it is not working.

It is a short, structured review of how your business runs today, finishing with a written report. The report ranks AI ideas, says which to leave alone for now, and names the kind of software that suits each job. It also gives rough running-cost ranges and a small first step. We ask for sample records with personal details removed wherever we can.
Start with the assessment if you are unsure AI fits at all. It is a fixed, short piece of work that ends with a report, whereas AI consulting is the longer, ongoing roadmap. If the report shows promise, its ranked list becomes the starting point for a roadmap, a build or both. If not, you keep the report and spend nothing more.
Often ordinary software is enough. A job that follows fixed rules every time, such as totalling an invoice or booking a time slot, is done predictably and cheaply by traditional software. AI earns its place where the input is messy language or the cases vary. The assessment sorts each job into rules, an AI feature or an agent, and says plainly when AI is not needed.
The price is fixed after a short call, based on how many processes, systems and people we review. Projects begin from $1,000, and hourly work is billed at $50 to $99 per hour. Timing mostly depends on how quickly your team can show us their work and share sample records. Scope and price go in writing before we start.
