What moves the price is the size of the review: one office with a handful of tools is a smaller job than a multi-site operation with custom software. After a discovery conversation you get a fixed estimate for the first phase, so the cost is known before work begins.
A vendor will naturally recommend the vendor’s own product. A consultant compares your options side by side, including leaving things exactly as they are.
